[The End 6/13] Tick Tock

|| A week since their son, named Weylin Thorne, was born, Chava was still painfully distant from Damien. She'd speak to him, casually, answer questions he might ask or do anything she needed to, but most words were said coolly or with little emotion, as if trying not to get to close. And she had no idea when the feeling would end. It wasn't because of anything he did, no. Yes, some of the things he had said before had hurt her, but only because of her own failures. She was distant by her own mistakes, as if hoping this way Damien might see her differently again, maybe one day she could be his best wife again, maybe someday he wouldn't doubt her anymore and he would know with complete certainty that she loved and cared for him. But, that wasn't the only reason she had been distant. She had lost a hand, most of her magic, and perhaps any edge she ever had. But she needed to do one thing: kill Aeron Thorne. And perhaps after their last conversation, Damien wouldn't dare stop her. Chava knew the only way she could achieve this was with careful, crafty plan- almost like she had done in killing the Thorne parents. So she waited a week, just a week of distance and planning, before making her move on the youngest Thorne brother. And without telling Damien, as she felt no need to, she grabbed her wand, a couple daggers, a healing potion, and polyjuice of a stranger woman she had never used before, before shoving all in her bag and making her way plainly at the door, apparently straight to the Thorne manor to carry out her plan. She was no fool. She knew Damien would follow.

|| How long would this last? Every day felt more and more painful for Damien as Chava remained distant. It kept him spiraling deeper and deeper into a pit of regret. Another reason to believe he was the cause of every problem. Perhaps if he'd kept his anger in check...? No, it was best not to dwell on what ifs and could've been's. He watched Chava walk out the door, briefly wondering where she was going, before getting up and following her. He didn't have any more polyjuice potions, Chava had stolen the last remaining one, but he could get by with his skills alone. He stepped outside, before instantly moving to slowly climb the building across from him, moving from handhold to handhold. Traveling on the ground would take less time, but would mean being seen earlier. Climbing on the roof simply made it harder to see him, but easier to see Chava. With that in mind, he began moving from building to building climbing when he needed to.

|| He often wondered if this feeling was why the brother's fought. This bubbling pit of anger that settled, often replacing his stomach. A feeling that made him want to hit something, and most times it was himself that he hit. Smacking his head or punching that rotting pit in his stomach. He never intended to be involved in the way that he was. He simply wanted to meet his brothers, wanted an escape from his parents, and a home of his own. Damien owned that home, still does. Aeron only wanted to house it, if he could. But instead he seemed to have brought death upon his parents, and that lingering scent of despair upon himself in turn. In his attempt to help, he found himself on Lucedio's side, but not helping, harming. That was one thing the brothers could agree on. As it was, Aeron lays in his room, cocooned with a house so barren. He didn't mind being alone, it made him think. It trapped him in his mind so he did not see Chava or Damien, and so Lucedio did not see his face again. For a man to have been ruled by wit and charm, he didn't feel so witty or charming in these moments. He felt trapped, and angry. At himself. A roar of a groan leaves his lips as he jumps from his bed, opening a window for air before sitting in the middle of his room, on the floor, and focuses, wand in hand. He had nothing else to do, he could try placing wards on the inside of his home, strategically, carefully. He had already fixed the ones on the outside. He had no part in this war anymore, Yet that did not mean he had to sit by and stay unprepared. Slowly, a trickle of magic escapes his wand, twirling around the room before spreading across the ceiling. He was neutral ground that wasn't going to stay neutral for long. ||

|| Aeron had reinforced wards on his home, and that would make things all the more difficult. She wasn't the most creative planner, and she didn't have Damien's help... She wondered if any plan she had would work. If that heart inside Aeron that she was counting on him having would still sink to this level. It was a long shot, but she knew Aeron to be some kind of disgusting softie at heart. Now was time to test that. This was a game that sure worked with his parents, so why not try with him? She took the polyjuice potion, her figure morphing to that of a very poor woman, though naturally beautiful by her choice. A few fake sobs put on later, a look of feigned desperate hopelessness on her face, and her favorite part- cue the terrified shriek from her lips just outside an open window from the Thorne home. All Chava had to do was get inside the house... And the best way to do it was by Aeron letting her in. And Aeron had always had a soft spot for pretty, helpless women. Chava, in her disguise, tears streaming down her face, pounds on the front door of the Thorne Manor, putting on the best look she could. The first step would be getting Aeron to open the door. The rest would come later.

|| That scream shattered his concentration, his magic shivering before expelling back into his wand. He didn't get to finish what he had in mind and that sacred him. Instinct told him to run to the scream, help if he could. Past knowledge told him to ignore it, forget it. What good did it do his parents? What good did it give him a few days ago when Lucedio entered his home and made him a deal, one he accepted just to save his own ass? None. It only brought him trouble. So Aeron stays sitting, squeezing his eyes shut, trying to drown the noise out. It worked, and he almost attempted the ward again, but the banging on his door alerted him to consciousness again. He couldn't stop his feet from moving, running down and around obstacles as he made his was to the door. The living area was still a mess, as he didn't feel a need to fix it. The banging, screaming and faint sobbing didn't cease. "Why is it always /my/ door?" the man grumbles, wand clutched in his hand. He placed his ear against it, listening. "What's the matter?" He yells out, not trusting the stranger. He felt the faint vibration at his feet, his wards warning him of ill intent. Whether it was towards him like he wanted it to, or who ever caused to woman to cry, he couldn't care much to know. "I'll help you in any way I can, but not until I know what is wrong!" Perhaps a direction was only needed. Aeron Thorne would not open his door unless he drastically needed to. For all he knew, someone was testing him. He had too many rules to follow, on both sides. ||

|| What created the most sympathy from Aeron? Perhaps not much, in the state he must be in now. But it seemed he was already contemplating letting her in, so she just had to play on that. She falls to her knees in front of his door, continuing to pound on it and cry as hard as she could get herself to. It wasn't hard enough, after that week's ordeal. "Please!" she cries. Ah, to make herself sound hysterical. "Please, I- I'm in so much pain, I don't know what's wrong with me..." To make things even more realistic, Chava had previously taken out a dagger to slit across her abdomen, which was already hurt and healing enough. She was bleeding, her arm clutching her side. Once she dealt with Aeron she could heal herself. She had the healing potion on her for a reason. "Someone hurt me, I'm bleeding..." Once Aeron opened and closed the door behind her, she would be free. One good hit and her wand out and she could have Aeron under her control. She was certain Damien was watching- would he even do anything?

|| Everything in his body told him not to open the door. The small vibrations warned him too. The woman's wording sat wrong with him, making him believe it was a trick. Even though his mind was thinking this, believing it, his body stepped back, his wand ready as he flicked the door open. His sea green eyes travel across the woman, assessing her clear wound. Air is sucked between his teeth, almost tempted to shut the door in her face and cast Silencio. He couldn't help what he couldn't hear. Unfortunately, the weakest part of him told him no, to step closer and offer his hand, his shoulder to the woman, allow her inside, to give her a seat as he whisked together a potion and fed it to her. "We don't have long." He says softly, although that pit in his stomach never went away, not the anger or the unease. He actually does take a step closer this time, wand glued in his hand, his other offered. "Come in. I have some medicine that will help, it'll stop the bleeding and heal you." She was beautiful, he would give her that. Perhaps a domestic issue? Something that would cause someone to press harm upon her. Regardless, he only had so many seconds, the vibrations only he could feel still not ceasing. ||

|| Whether or not he knew it, Chava /knew/ Aeron. That much could be said in how well this plan of hers had worked so far. He looked uneasy, and of course, in only seconds he would find out why. She took the potion, Aeron healing her wound without his direct knowledge. But Chava only took so much polyjuice potion, and she could feel it start to wear off already. What better time to start then now? As he turned his back to grab said potion, her wand flew into her hand. The lucky part was the woman she had control of had a right hand, a dominant hand, but one that Chava could take advantage of as if it were her own dominant hand until it wore off. So when she cast the body bind curse at Aeron, it was the strongest magic she had produced in months, a year. Whether or not it hit, however, was a different problem. As the potion began to bubble away, the precious right hand fading from her use, a dagger slides into her left hand, moving to slam it tip first into Aeron's hand through the floor, crawling on top of him and pushing him down if the body bind didn't do the trick. "Aeron Thorne," Chava purrs, and the voice was her own. "I think it's about time your soul meets your parents in hell, and your pretty head hangs up with theirs in our home."

|| For a decent amount of time Damien followed Chava, knowing exactly where she was going. Just like he said before, he wouldn't stop her from trying to kill Aeron, and he'd even help if his guilt let him. He had lost the advantages that the buildings gave him, as the Thorne Manor was in an open area, yet bushes and the like gave him a new distinct advantage. He watched the encounter for a few minutes admiring Chava's ingenuity, before deciding to move. He couldn't let Chava fight Aeron alone, She'd most likely lose since she had lost her primary hand. He rushed forward as soon as she had gotten inside, rushing inside the house before they got a chance to close it. Staring at Aeron, he realized guilt no longer plagued his mind, and he felt nothing but the desire to kill. He slipped his hand down towards his hip, grabbing his dagger quickly. "And I'll be helping her achieve that."

|| Although he was unable to finish the wards on the inside, he had put enough magic for it to shoot from the ceiling in a shimmering shield, protecting Aeron's back from the curse sent his way. The shield was weak, however, and the impact knocked him down, inches from where he had been standing. Surprise covered his features, the vibration finally ceasing, as if to say I told you so! The male presses against the ground, his head lifting to see what the hell that was. The woman was no longer there, although /a/ woman was still present. Chava Roku-Thorne. Pain blossomed behind his eyes as an unseen blade stabs his hand, sealing it to the floor. His wand was inches from that same hand. He'd have to totally turn his body over if he so wished to even reach for it. Her words sent angry heat bubbling from his core, but he settles it, eyes shifting to the woman's husband. So it was his time, it seemed. That weak part of him wanted to lay there, allow them to slowly saw his head off, no fight involved. But that stupid will to live and continue his own Thorne line made the male arch his body, as if he was attempting to buck and throw the woman off of him. If it came to it, he could do the occasional spell wandless, but that was magic that drained him after a few attempts, one of the things he never perfected. "Both of you need to leave." He manages to growl, his eyes flying to the doorway, cracks still evident from his encounter with Lucedio. ||

|| There was a small crack in her plan as something unexpected happened. Yes, she knew Damien would follow her and even watch, but despite all that was said she was certain he wouldn't join in and help her. And yet, here he was, saying he'd help, and that threw her for a massive loop. She immediately spun around, loosening her grip on Aeron and letting go of the dagger completely that had been embedded in his hand. "Damien?" she questions, furrowing her brows at her husband. She heaves a breath, moving to grab for her wand, throw off in a different direction when Aeron spoke. "Leave? Both of us /leave/? Oh, sweet Dami can do whatever he wants but I? Oh no, I don't leave until my skin turns scarlet, stained with your blood, and I can attach your hand onto my missing one. I don't usually eat hearts, but I think yours will be a sweet exception..." Chava was angry, very much so, and she didn't seem to realize how much that was already blinding her. She had already completely gotten up off of Aeron.

|| He knew that Chava would be surprised, though he wasn't quite expecting the reaction he got. He knew him showing up out of the blue would be surprising and especially him wanting to kill Aeron But her furrowing her brows at him hit home. He knew what happened had affected her, given that she distanced herself from him, but he didn't know how much. Was this the first glimpse into that? And if so was there any way to go back to how things used to be? He simply nodded before turning his gaze back towards Aeron, laughing at his demand. He opened his mouth to speak though Chava spoke first. For those few moments, he looked at Chava with a slight smirk admiring her violent side, before turning back towards Aeron. "Hardly." He leaned against a wall, twirling his dagger between his fingers as he looked on at Aeron. "You see, I've come to realize something. I may be the catalyst for everything, but you've all made your decisions as well." He shakes his head slightly, "You had every opportunity to leave this fight behind. You didn't. You harmed Chava of your own volition, even taking control of her mind. So I'm going to see you, Lucedio, and myself dead. Chava can take the kids and take a new last name, or start a new, better, Thorne family. So yes, I will help Chava kill you, then I will kill Lucedio, and then I'll turn myself into the Ministry and receive a dementor's kiss."

|| When Chava turned away, Aeron took that moment to steal the blade that impaled his hand. It was a struggle not to make a noise, but he managed. He used Chava's body to block to view from Damien as well. He hides the dagger under his body, banking on her shock to blind her. He didn't expect her anger to be the thing that blinded her, but it was. He lays on the ground still, sucking in air, acting as if he wasn't in the best condition to get up. His hand /did/ ache, but it wasn't anything he couldn't act around. Damien speaks, and as he speaks, Aeron slowly shifts, his body slowly raising from the floor, his eyes never leaving Chava's figure. He was banking on two things: One, she lunged for him again, aiming to pin him. In that movement, he would pull out her dagger and aim it for her chest, not for her heart, but angled enough to pierce a lung. That act made him feel guilty, if he managed to aim right, but it was needed to save his own ass, /AGAIN!/ Second, he was banking on her not paying him any mind, staring at her husband, if that was the case, he would easily lunge, aiming to place the dagger into the small of her back. He'd then attempt to dive for his wand, not caring what Damien did, and not caring to respond to what he said. Not now. ||

|| What the /hell/ did Damien think he was talking about? She could agree to killing both Lucedio and Aeron in a heartbeat, and she was glad he was finally wholly seeing her side on this issue, but for him to die too? For him to turn himself in and get the dementors kiss? No matter how distant she was getting from him that wasn't something she would ever allow. After saying what she had to Aeron, she spins back around and points a finger at her husband. She had the desire to slap sense into him just for thinking that. "Excuse me? The only thing kissing you is me. You're not-" And those words were barely out of her mouth before she felt the blade, already slick with Aeron's blood, sink into her lower back, her mouth hanging open in shock. She didn't scream loudly, more a dull roar of a yell, sinking to her knees as she felt her blood start to seep from her wound. Aeron. The damned fool had $!#king stabbed her, and she had just.. let it happen, too focused on Damien. She collapses to the floor, reaching her hand around as if to pull the blade out from her back. "fuck," she cries, sounding more like a whimper than anything. And she thought she was doing so well.

|| One second Chava was berating him, the next, she was down on the ground, having been stabbed by Aeron. Something snapped deep within his mind, and he growled out. He ran towards Aeron, aiming to pick him up by the throat and slam him against the wall. "You made the biggest mistake of your life, brother." He snarled out, his other hand gripping his dagger tightly. In one quick motion, he drives the blade up towards Aeron's unscathed hand, hoping to pin the man to the wall. "One you won't live to learn from." He released his grip, bringing his hand to grab four knives from his sleeve. "Don't. Touch. What's. /MINE/!" With each word he moved to drive one of the knives into a different location, making sure not to aim for anywhere vital. He didn't want the man to bleed out and die after all. With that said and done, if it wasn't avoided, he pulled back his hand, before punching the handle of one of the knives to drive it in deeper.

|| He hated the brief feeling of knife sliding between skin, but he made a deal with Lucedio, and he intended to keep it the best he could in what ever means he could. Although, he had a sinking feeling he already failed at one of the two tasks. His uninjured hand nearly gripped his wand, so close- a broken noise escapes his throat in a gargle, his head banging back his eyes find his brother's, clenching his jaw. Anger seethes in his gaze - that is, until his only uninjured hand was pinned against the wall, a yelp of surprised shock escaping his lips. He tries to unpin that one when his brother turns around, but he was too slow, as three knives impale themselves into his skin, having been lucky enough to escape being impaled by one, save the deep gash that leaked from his forearm. "Both of you need to leave NOW!" Aeron growls out, his mouth opening, barring his teeth. Pain throbbed within his body, and his eyes caught Chava kneeled over, reaching for the dagger embedded in her back, guilt washing over him. He didn't even care that they wished to kill him. He knew if Lucedio showed up and saw them inside his home, despite the blood painting his walls and carpet, they'd all be dead. "Take my motherfucking hand if you so want to, but please," the younger Thorne pleads, willing his brother to see his thoughts through his eyes. "Please leave. Don't make this any worse than it has to be." Maybe a part of Aeron still didn't believe they were here to kill him, perhaps that part of him was willing to endure any amount of pain, let them get out their emotions, then nurse himself again as they leave and survive their days against Lucedio. Who knew giving a woman what she wanted would have brought death to his door? ||

|| Chava was in a tremendous amount of pain, to say the least, and it took her a bit of time before realizing what was happen. She pulls the dagger out of her back and tosses it to the side, gasping as she starts to bleed out. Her bag with the healing potion was on the complete other side of the room. The good thing was, she knew it would be hours, days, before a wound like this could kill her, so she didn't exert the effort in going to get her bag, merely crawling over to the front door to lean against the wall next to it, Damien and Aeron much farther away, at the wall on the other side of the room. Her hand clutches the wound at her back, her other arm without the hand wrapped around her abdomen. The pain was blinding, ringing slightly in her ears, yet much more manageable than say, the wound Blake had given her, or Lucedio had when he first tortured her years ago. In the back of her mind, she heard Damien speak, the anger in his voice, saw the damage he was doing to Aeron. She had been waiting for this. She loved her sadistic husband. Despite the pain, a small admiring smile makes its way onto her  lips, leaning back against the front door. She would be the first in the way of any surprise visitors.

[L] || He'd been watching Aeron's house, knowing that the man would fail. During one of those times he'd been watching, he noticed Damien go inside the house after a woman he guessed to be Chava. So finally his younger brother had failed. It had taken many months, but he knew it would happen some time. He moved along the shadows, entering the man's house, before appearing, and gazing out at the scene that lay before him. Aeron looking like an over-sized pincushion, Chava with a dagger in her back. The only one who seemed unharmed was Damien. This would make what he was going to do /much/ easier. "Killing each other for me, I see. It makes it easier to kill you all." He turns his gaze towards Damien, assessing him as the largest threat. Both Chava and Aeron were wounded, so only Damien could really put up a front against him. He couldn't help but add a comment towards Chava, given how frightened she seemed during their last encounter. "Tick tock. Your time's running out."

|| He was here. /He/ was here. Why was it that every single time they strayed away from their manor he had to show up. It was like he had some uncanny sense to know where they were at all times He pulled his dagger out of Aeron's hand, before turning to face Lucedio, Aeron forgotten as he was no longer as important. He gripped his wand tightly, as he stared down Lucedio, "You'll fail. Just like you failed when Chava saved me. Just like you failed when getting Aeron to do your dirty work. You'll always fail." He pulls the dagger up, readying to move just in case. Lucedio's next words only served to anger him even more. First Aeron harming Chava, now Lucedio threatening her. When would it end? When would they realize that he would kill every single person on earth to save Chava if he needed to, or he would die trying. His eyes flashed red as he began to speak, "I will flay you alive before you can even try to harm Chava."

|| He had tried telling them to leave, tried telling them that they would not be happy for showing up at his home. Aeron had gotten used to being under the watchful eye of Lucedio, had almost expected him at the most random of times now, but only when it was best for him. Like in the alley and now here. Chava was injured thanks to himself, and his own body was leaking blood from all parts, his hands slick with the liquid. Just bending it sent flashes of yellow throughout his mind, making him grit his teeth. He would have to fight through it. Aeron sinks to his knees, attempting to crawl towards his wand that was still on the floor. Each time he pressed against the floor with his hands he would wince; He slips his wand back into his hand before grunting, leaning back against a piece of furniture. "I told you to leave, Damien. Nobody ever listens to me, and now we're all dead." Aeron voices, glazed eyes traveling between woman and brothers, then to his own bloodied body. If it came to it, could he fight? ||

|| Every other thought, little bit of pain, any distraction was completely and utterly wiped from her mind with this new entrance. For /seven months/ since the last time Chava had seen the man, he had destroyed her without even being there. He was in her head, whispering to her words of her death, breaking into their house, killing her husband and her children before her own eyes. For seven months this man had been her every nightmare, the reason to keep her up at night, every ounce of paranoia, every panic attack and pain she had brought to herself and her family, and he was the cause of it all. He was to blame, Lucedio as her worst nightmare. And with his appearance, the first thing she did was scream like a child, ignoring the blood dripping from her back, scrambling in blind panic to the other side of the room, to curl into a corner farthest away from him as possible. She was trembling like a madwoman, and didn't think it could get any worse, until... He spoke directly to her, a clearly worded threat. She would die. She would die. And /soon/. Tick tock. Tick tock. Her time on this earth was running out. She stops screaming, simply bawling her eyes out more than her children ever even had. She was a child. A pathetic child. "NO! LEAVE US ALONE! GO!" So of course, her first course of action was to throw every single piece of furniture she could find at Lucedio.

[L] || It was pathetic how quickly they stopped fighting each other to face him, despite the fact that he had taken them on by himself before. And he already had an idea on how to win a third of this encounter. He chuckled darkly at his twin, before smirking, staring directly at Chava as he spoke. "You can't stop the cunt's death any more than Aeron can stop being useless." He smirks at Chava, before continuing, "Oh, and she won't just die, she'll suffer before she dies." He flicked his wand at Damien sending a cutting curse his way, before cackling, "And everything you've ever known and loved will burn and crumble down around you." Once again he cast the cutting curse, though this time, at the furniture the bitch could manage to throw. "Where once I would have allowed you to surrender your lives, I no longer give you that choice. It would be over /far/ too soon.

| Damien spent Lucedio's entire speech trying to figure out his plan of attack, only moving to dodge the cutting curse that had been thrown his way. He reached into his pocket pulling out his wand before casting Lumos at Lucedio. Hopefully, it would stop him from escaping his strike, if he moved without any other warning. He flipped his dagger in his hand, before rushing forward. aiming to drive the dagger into Lucedio's side. "I will die before I let any of that happen," he spoke, before jumping back. He didn't want to make himself immediately available for a strike knowing that Lucedio would take any chance he could get to harm him. Maybe not kill right now, since he seemed focused on killing Chava first, but Lucedio would definitely harm him. His eyes scan around the room trying to find some sort of weakness he could exploit or something he could use to his advantage.

|| Aeron didn't like the way Chava cowered, didn't like the affect his brother had on her, nor did he like the fact she was ruining his home even more. "Would you cut it out!" He screams, despite his brothers battling each other. Maybe he really was useless, worried about furniture and not his or the lives of others. The gives him an idea. The male scoots his way into a corner, clutching his wand and closing his eyes. He focuses on the wards from earlier, save for a few adjustments. He was weak, and his magic was slow, but strong. Within minutes her had added a decent amount of magic for two shields. Both of which bounce around Lucedio and Damien. The knockback was weak, but if it worked, it would have rebounded the two men. This was when Aeron stands, clinging to the wall. Despite his weakened state, his eyes were ablaze and his voice was tought: "Get the fuck out of my house, the lot of you! Go kill each other somewhere else. I made /you/ a deal, Lucedio, to stay uninvolved. Battling in my house involves me. You told me it was not their time. I get it, I'm a motherfucking failure and you probably watched my home. You could have easily came in, stolen Chava from the door way, and left, making Damien follow. You could have killed them easily. Do not force my hand, I beg you." He halts to catch his breath, a small pool of blood around his feet, but some of his blood was already drying on his skin. He could curse. There was blood caked all over this area of his home. He was no looking forward to cleaning that up. His gaze finds his brothers' once more, then slides towards Chava. "There is a time and place, but it is not here." He finishes softly. ||

|| Chava didn't care about Aeron. He was simply an annoyance to her in the grand scheme of things, and she was pissed she hadn't gotten that chance to kill him earlier. She shouldn't have taken so long in doing. Lucedio spoke, and it chilled Chava to the bone. She would suffer, so he said. It wasn't the death part that scared her so much as the suffering part. Chava had always been more comfortable with death. Too comfortable with the thought of her own death. But suffering? No. Death was worth it, suffering was not. She'd end up begging him to end her suffering and just /kill her./ Was there any way she could get Lucedio to not do this? Probably not, but she was stupid enough to try and fight him. Chava ignores Aeron plainly, crawling across the floor- as she couldn't quite stand yet with the wound her her back- in the middle of Aeron's little speech. Damien was keeping Lucedio occupied, so Chava crawled around him until she was behind him, a dagger from her bag in her hand. She carefully makes her way to stand, wobbling over slightly and tripping over her own feet, just behind Lucedio. She points the blade at the back of his neck, hands and legs shaking. "Leave him alone, or I'll kill you," she growls at Lucedio. Or, she meant to growl, as the words ended up more as a squeak. And of course, her legs chose that moment to give out, her back having a hard enough time supporting her, so Chava crashed down to the floor, blade falling from her hand.

[L] || A flick of his wand and a shield appeared deflecting the strike that Damien had tried to land. This was far too easy. Had it always been this easy to deal with Damien and those close to him? He remembered struggling against Damien and his friends before, it had been a hassle to kidnap Damien, and then his friends managed to rescue him from Lucedio's clutches. Perhaps because Chava was so... /weak/. Pathetically so. Speaking of the #@%$... He turns to face the fallen woman laughing at her sheer /stupidity/. He reaches down grabbing the dagger that she had tried to threaten him with, before reaching out trying to grab Chava to pick her up by her throat. If he was successful, he would drive the blade towards Chava's heart. He knew she wouldn't die. Damien always seemed to have a potion for everything. Once that was done he would drop the woman back onto the ground. "I suggest you leave before you force me to kill you both," He says towards Damien and Chava. "It's not your time yet." He turned his head towards Aeron, narrowing his eyes, before stating "I'll need to say something to you afterward."

|| Lucedio was going to hurt her. Maybe he had had enough and would just kill her right then and there, for all she knew. But the next thing she knew he was laughing at her, and pulling her up by her throat. She gasps, trying to kick out against him, pull his hands from her neck when the flash of the blade aimed right at her chest caused bigger concern. He was going to kill her. He was going to kill her right then and there. In a moment of sheer panic, her entire upper body squirms to the side, a scream escaping her lips as the blade slides through her skin- but thankfully not at the heart. At a lung, yes, but that was only a little better. It already felt like she was drowning in her blood, finding it harder and harder to breathe, gasping and clawing at the wound the man had created. Chava drops to the floor like a rag doll, squirming around and coughing, eyes strangely open yet unseeing as they stare up at the ceiling. The only thing she had the will to do was claw her hand at Damien's foot in desperation.

|| Damien's mind was racing. This was worse than he could have expected. He couldn't have stopped Chava in time, as he hadn't even seen her move, so focused on his fight with Lucedio that it was over far before it even began. It was eerily similar to the fight with Blake they'd had so long ago. Chava damaged to the point where Damien had to save her rather than continue fighting. He picks up Chava in his hands, before moving outside of the manor, unaware if the manor had anti-appiration spells or not. Once outside, he turned on his heel apparating back home. In what seemed like routine, he carried Chava up towards the bedroom before pouring several potions into her mouth. Healing potions, pain numbing potions. Whatever could help, really.

|| It was a long time before any of his potions did enough to help her. They were working slowly but surely, and it was too long before she was able to talk and function more properly again. And when she could, she was crushed. Failed, again. She had failed him. Maybe Damien would have stood some fighting chance if her stupid stupid plans hadn't gotten in the way. She had always ruined it all for him. Bad, guilty wife was she. And again, no wonder he doubted her. Even shocking herself, the first thing Chava did when she was able to function was hold her hand out and wrap her fingers around Damien's collar, dragging him toward her to plant a gentle, lasting kiss to his lips. Her thumb gently strokes across his cheek, before she knew she had to let go completely. That was the only moment she would allow herself, then back to being distant. "I'm sorry I failed again," she murmurs too softly, after much too long. Perhaps she had gotten his hopes up into thinking she wouldn't be distant anymore. It was the first time she kissed him at all in a week. But she couldn't. She pauses again for a long while, before she struggles to fidget the ring off her left hand- her wedding ring. "Now I'm just waiting for you to divorce me." She pushes her ring into his hand, with carefully no emotion on her face. After he would take it, she would close her eyes as if sleeping, not to say another word to him. It was all too much to bear.

|| This was slowly turning into one of his most painful days, and that was saying something, given how many painful memories he had. Sure it wasn't bad as Chava leaving so long ago, but it was painful in it's own right. He held the ring in his palm with trepidation, a nagging fear plaguing in his mind. "You didn't fail." He stated instantly, though he knew she would just keep refuting it, and at some point, he'd just be unable to say anything else. No it was better to just hope tomorrow, or next week was better. That they could go back to the way they were before and that everything will be fine. That no matter what Lucedio said, they would continue to be fine. "I'm guessing there's no way you'll take this back now?" He asked. Though she had kissed him earlier, and it had filled him with a hope he hadn't felt in a long time, this one action. One simple ring. And it all came crumbling down. He couldn't help but reminded of how he felt when he saw the ring on the bedside table when she left him. It was devastating. "I'm never going to divorce you. I love you. So I'll hold onto this until you're ready to wear it again."
