[Third Year-Middle]Failed Rescue
Fire slinks into the Alley, his old worn black hoodie drawn low over his face, shadowing most of his profile. In his left hand he clutched his wand in a tight sweaty grip, his other hand rested on the hilt of his dagger at his waist, attached to his torn pants. He had received the message yesterday afternoon when he was examining the blade Bestie had given him the day before. The message was straightforward and clear, so he was certain Chaos was the one who sent it, though he didn't know how when he had that psycho doing god knows what to him. Finally, reaching the place where everything went to hell, Fire searched for a small window that was mentioned in the message. He growled lowly in impatience when he couldn't find one. It was so dark, he was afraid that if he used his gift to light the way he would be caught ... screw it he needed to save Damien, he was eventually going to fight Lucedio anyway. Raising his palm upwards, he allowed a very small ball of red fire rises up from his skin, his bright amber eyes instantly adjusted to the sudden shift in light. He looked around once more and was just able to spot a very small, rectangular window half buried in the cement. He rushed over and knelt down to peer inside, it was so dark not even his fire could shine through, not really thinking all that clearly he called out in a loud whisper, "Damien? Are you in there?" receiving no answer, Fire suddenly recalled something from the message and pulled out his wand and pointed it at the window "Bombarda" he murmured, instantly a larger section of the wall disappeared, and after giving a glance behind his shoulder he slid into the hole. It was only a few feet down, his feet hit the solid ground a few seconds later, he was shrouded in darkness and couldn't see a damn thing. He foolishly called out Damien's name again as he shuffled forward, suddenly he tripped over a large, very still object and fell forward, he managed to stop himself from eating the floor, by quickly shooting his hands out. Bad news was he landed a little hard and twisted his wrist into a sprain, hissing in pain he rolled to the side and sat up clutching his left wrist, he snapped his fingers and another ball of flame appeared, barely giving enough light to see a few feet ahead of him, he looked around for what had tripped him when he heard slightly ragged breathing and froze. His eyes instantly zeroed in on a shape to the right of him. Swallowing he slouched over to the shape and shined his fire on the figure. Fire gasped in horror, at what he saw. It-it was Damien, but then again this broken down, bleeding boy didn't resemble Damien at all. There were cuts ... so many cuts, on his face his arms. The lower Fire went the more horror-struck and angry he became. He lifted the fire back to Damien's deathly pale face to examine more closely. His sunken eyes were shut tightly screwed up like he was still in pain, his dark hair was damp and matted down with blood, a long jagged slash ran up his to his eye nearly right into it! Fire felt tears well up in his eyes at the sight of his best friend, put through so much torment and agony, he didn't know if he would have lasted as long if their roles were reversed. Shaking his head, Fire chased away those thoughts, they needed to get the hell out of here NOW, before Lucedio showed up. Fire reached forward and tried to shake Damien awake, no response just a limp roll, then he laid still again. He was alive, Fire could still hear his ragged, jerky breathing, but he wasn't responding. Cursing Fire reached forward and prepared to fireman carry his friend out of there.
|| Lucedio had gotten angry when torturing Damien. He'd wanted a reaction, fear, perhaps. But today he'd gotten just a scream. So, he had decided to check the area, make sure the boy wasn't up to anything. He'd found the dagger at the door, thrown there by Damien probably. But suspicious at what Damien was doing by holding back his screams he didn't know. What was different this time than the prior sessions of torture? The dagger. Prior sessions, he'd used Damien's standard dagger. But after finding the silver dagger among his possessions, he'd decided to use that instead. So after that, Lucedio carefully watched the room. Besides the odd stir, he saw nothing from Damien. Until later that night, he'd heard a small commotion in the cellar, and he decided to check. Lucedio was astonished to find, looking through the keyhole, one of Damien's bothersome friends examining Damien. This had to be stopped. Swiftly, he opened the door and cast a reparo at the broken wall, which started to fix itself. Leaving the door open, he stepped into the room "You were foolish to try to rescue him, and face me alone"
Fire was busy trying to haul Damien over his shoulder that he didn't even hear the asshole come in. So, he jumped nearly a mile when he heard his voice echo through the dark chambers, he spun around and came face to face with his best friend's evil twin. It was eery how similar in looks they were, nearly down to the eye color. But Chaos had something in his eyes that Lucedio did not. Warmth. Lucedio's eyes held nothing but an empty, cold look. It sent chills down his spine as he lowered Damien onto the ground again. He stared at the man a little unbalanced, he never intended to face Lucedio. This was supposed to be a quick search and rescue mission. He knew in his bones he was not ready to face the twin. Still, he put up a confident front and lowered his hood inwardly cursing himself. What had Damien seared into his brain every training session? Expect the Unexpected. But he was so focused and trying to save Damien he completely forgot. Fire slowly slid his hand to the hilt of his dagger keeping his gaze on Lucedio while he spoke to distract him,"It is you who is foolish Lucedio. He-" Fire nodded to the prone form of Chaos, "has very powerful friends. Did you think we would not come for him? You will pay for what you have done!" Fire managed to slide his dagger from its sheath, with a low slick.
|| Lucedio grinned at the boy who stood before him, walking towards him with a calm and cool gait. All the while glaring at the boy. He looked towards Damien, a cold sneer curling itself into his lips. "I have merely taken what I deserve from him. Every cut, every laceration a week of time I was stuck in his mind." he stepped aside leaving a clear path to the door "If you scurry off now and escape while you have the chance, I might let you live. You'll have to leave Damien, of course." he grins viciously, knowing that every word would grind itself over in the poor boy's ears "And when I'm done with him, and if I'm feeling generous, I might return him to you. I make no promises that he'll be alive, though"
Fire stiffens, as rage poured like lava through his veins as Lucedio openly taunted him, he snarled at the suggestion to leave Chaos here with this sicko. Like hell he would. He glared up into cold red eyes and spat, "No" he took a protective step in front of Chaos crouching slightly, in a defensive position."You can go to hell, Lucedio I will not leave my Dagger Brother behind for sick games. You will have to kill me first."
|| Lucedio raised his wand clearly at fire "Sectumsempra" he cast aiming for the body, before walking around slightly keeping the spell up if he could "Shame. At least for you" he spoke a sneer appearing again at the words dagger brother "An honor rarely bestowed by my brother. Only one remaining. And he shall die tonight" he aimed his wand again positioning himself so that if the spell hit, Fire would be sent flying back through the weakened wall. If he was lucky, the boy would die instantly. If he wasn't he'd be in a lot of pain "Flippendo" he spoke waving his wand at the boy.
Fire cried out in pain as sudden slashes appeared on his torso and arms, before his blood could fully pool up, he was hit with another spell and sent flying back, into the wall he'd just come through slamming the back of his head hard on the stone, he nearly blacked out then as white stars appeared in his vision as he slowly slid down the wall, his blood from the slashes further weakened him as he tried to stay awake, his brain was already fogging up with the pain and he couldn't see clearly. He raised his hand to the back of his head and winced when he touched another open wound. He drew his hand back, his fingers were covered in his blood. All of this had happened with merely two spells from Lucedio, he already could barely remember what happened, he had dropped his dagger when he had been blasted into the wall. He turned his blurry eyes and spotted it several feet away closer to Lucedio than him. He then turned his glare to Lucedio who stood there smirking at him smugly, he grits his teeth and felt his anger along with his power begin to arise. He looked at Damien who still hadn't stirred, then slowly got to his feet the pain fading to a dull throb as his body lit up with fire. He barely had any control all he could focus on was to not burn Chaos. Everything else fled his mind as he raised his hand outward towards Lucedio and shot a flaming red ball of fire straight towards him at a quick speed.
|| Lucedio stepped aside allowing the fireball to graze past him, and grinned in hopes to get the boy more angry "You would be a useful ally" he says circling around him "I have watched Damien before, and what has he done for you? For his girlfriend?" he laughs at his statement hoping that every word would get him angrier, or better ... get him to doubt his friend "He still scares you, does he not? He threatens you. He uses his daggers, not as a tool; as they should be, but as a weapon, a weapon used against even you." he circles around until he's to the left of fire "Do you really trust him" he says pointing a thin finger towards Damien "Do you trust him with your Life?"
Fire grew intensely more angry at every word that spewed from Lucedio's mouth. He stiffened when he was circled listening to the poisonous words that were hissed into his ear, and leaked into his brain. He thought for a moment. Damien was always kind of mean to him waving his dagger in his face all the time. But-NO! He protected Fire and his bestie, he would die for them. He had seen and heard it plenty of times. He had read it in his eyes. Fire stepped away from Lucedio his rage flaring up again."Don't you dare try to turn me against him! You are the evil one here! Not Damien!" Fire snarled at him his entire body engulfed in flame now. He brought both of his hands together and shoved forward a large fireball speedily hopefully large enough that Lucedio could not avoid it this time.
|| Lucedio waved his wand without speaking and the fire warped and split around him, before conjoining again behind him. "You still fight me" Anger. Anger was the key here. The angrier he got the stronger the fire seemed, but anger leads to being unintelligent. That was the key. "Damien has admitted to being evil himself, hasn't he?" he grins as he steps toward fire, offsetting the range of his fire "He threatens you, kills people, sends their bodies to be turned into cupcakes for innocent people to eat, whereas I only have a vendetta against Damien, and I'M the evil one?" he spoke edging closer, planting the seeds of doubt inside Fire's mind "Renounce your friendship with Damien, and I will let you walk away free from harm ... well, any more harm" he put an edge of sincerity into his voice to confuse Fire.
Fire's eyebrow twitched as his anger reached new heights the longer Lucedio spoke. Everything he was saying was a lie! Damien was not evil! He stepped back clutching his head as doubt, and confusion warped his mind only pissing him off more. Join Lucedio? Did he seriously just suggest that?! Fire fought with all his strength but was quickly losing the battle for control, finally he snapped. "Shut....UP!!" he roared at Lucedio as a large wave of heat exploded from him his red flames burning brighter than they ever had. His control gone his fire started to burn him and he screamed out, as white-hot pain shot like ice through his veins. He turned his watery blood red eyes on Lucedio and charged him recklessly his fist raised to punch a burning hole straight through his smug face.
|| Lucedio smirked as he'd gotten the exact reaction he was hoping for "Yes." he laughed as Fire charged towards him. He quickly casts a confringo at the wall behind him, before casting flippendo at Fire, and prepared his wand to cast a reparo. If the boy went flying through the hole, he'd be kept out and unable to return. If he missed, he'd repair the wall while the boy was flying through the air. The bricks, hitting the boy as they went to fill in the hole, would cause enough damage as it were "Well your time was already up. I would have let you live had you renounced your friendship with Damien, but you wouldn't have been unharmed. Now you will die"
Fire was stopped dead in his tracks, as Lucedio hit him with the same spell as before. Unable to do anything he was sent flying back through the hole that had been reopened. His body hitting several bricks as he flew through the wall. He screamed as his left shoulder gave a loud crack as one brick hit it at just the right angle to break it. He landed right outside where he started. His half-lidded eyes watched as the hole sealed shut before the pain of all of his injuries overcame him and everything went black
