[Third Year-Middle]Trials of Pain and Suffering {Not for the faint-hearted}

Knocturn Alley was a place where dark wizards congregated, but on this particular night, at a point when the moon was high in the sky, Knockturn Alley held it's dark secrets which the rest of the world was blissfully unaware. The darkest secret in the Alley was being kept in the cellar of a long-abandoned shop. In the dusty cellar, cobwebs ruled the ceiling, and the stone floor was cracked. But most shocking of all was what sat in the darkest corner of the cellar. There, sat a Third-year boy. His hair was singed at the ends and were all tangled up after weeks of not being cared for. His eyes were unmoving and empty, staring at a small window on the opposite side of the window. But worst of all, he was skinnier than he usually was. Where normally he was a healthy skinny, now he was skinnier from lack of eating. And so the boy sat, unmoving, alive but not living. Light streamed into the cellar as the door that led above was unlocked and opened. Damien didn't have to see who it was to know who it was. The only thing that kept him going was his memories of Fire, his best friend and dagger student as of late; and Pixie, who had steadily become more important to him since that day so long ago. The one person he could love. He stood up wincing in pain as he faced the man who stood in the blinding light. he knew how this would go. He'd fight Lucedio, the man in the Light, Lucedio would win, and then he'd be tortured. But he had to hold out, if not for his own sake, then for Pixie and Fire. If he could get his hands on the dagger afterward, but no. The dagger was always taken out of the cellar after a session. But if he could make Lucedio mad... Perhaps. Giving a sigh he shuffled over to Lucedio giving in to the inevitable. Lucedio regarded him with a steely gaze before bringing a silver dagger from his side, one with a completely gray crystal. Lucedio raised his hand and slashed the dagger diagonally. Damien found himself lying on the ground clutching a diagonal slash on his face. The slash traveled from his left cheekbone to above his right eyebrow. The slice had nearly cut into his right eye, but it had barely missed. Lucedio slowly walked over to where he was and kicked him over onto his back. Damien groaned, but he was too weak to fight back. Lucedio crouched down over him and impaled the dagger in his arm, before dragging it down along the arm to the point near the wrist. Normally, Damien would have been screaming, but he bit his tongue stifling any noise. Lucedio scowled at the noise, or rather, lack of noise, and hovered the dagger over Damien's left hand before stabbing at the center of the hand. Once again, Damien stifled a scream yet again. Damien knew that Lucedio wouldn't do anything to kill him, just cause pain, so as long as he stifled his pain, perhaps he could get Lucedio angry enough to leave the dagger in there with him. He'd use a duplicating spell on the dagger, that would cost him energy, but that could easily be hidden. He nearly flinched as he was kicked over again. Lucedio traced along his spine before moving it an inch to the right. Damien bit his lip as Lucedio impaled the dagger next to his spine. Lucedio cut along the spine, deep enough to cause pain, but not enough to sever any nerves or vital organs. Damien forced his teeth into his lip to stop himself from screaming, nearly biting through the lip itself. He had to keep his silence for himself, for Fire and Pixie, and for his chance at escape. The slice curved along his back, but Lucedio wasn't apparently done. Lucedio kicked him over again and once again felt the cold touch and the blinding pain as the dagger sliced its way through his legs. Damien couldn't give up, he couldn't let them down, he couldn't scream- "Aaarrgghhh" He screamed in the pain. After everything, he'd gone through. After the dagger slicing next to his spine, after the damage dealt to his arms, he finally screamed from the damage dealt to his legs. Lucedio grinned, though anger was apparent in those blood-red eyes of his. In his anger, Lucedio stabbed the dagger through Damien's right kneecap before leaving Damien in the darkness. Grunting in pain, Damien twisted himself around, much to the disapproval of his arms, legs, and back. He placed his hand on the rough surface of the stone and dragged himself along the floor towards the small window, his blood pooling behind him, as new cuts and scratches appeared on his hands from the pressure of dragging his body to the window. Ignoring the pain and suffering he felt, he wrapped his hands around the hilt of the dagger lodged in his knee. Gripping tightly he pulled the dagger as hard as he could adding more strain to his already torn up arms. Slowly the dagger shifted before being gradually pulled out. Gasping at the exertion he held the dagger in the light. Trying to summon all the energy he could he cast a wandless duplication spell on the dagger, before nearly shouting in joy at the success. With what little strength he tossed the duplicate by the door, before hiding the dagger in the darkest corner. After all, was said and done, he'd overexerted himself. And the last thing he saw before falling prey to unconsciousness, was the grimy wall under the window. The light in a dark situation.
