[Wounded 5/5]Heavy Damage

[L]|| The first time he was trapped in his current location, he had mistaken the place as somewhere between life and death. Between existence and nonexistence. Being in it a second time, he could clearly see that it wasn't anything of the sort. While there were... beings here that could prove his theory about being trapped between life and death, they weren't the sort of beings you would expect. For the most part, these beings were aggressive. Instead of spirits milling about in an endless void, these beings were seeking him out in an attempt to end him, like white blood cells to a virus. He hadn't been there long before he'd felt a sharp pain to his shapeless body. This pain repeated again and again, before finally releasing its grasp on him. Slowly the memories of the recent event seeped into his mind. That bitch had attacked his leg. He could only get out a short rant before he seeped back into near thoughtlessness. This limbo had a way of distorting the mind, and soon Lucedio couldn't even remember how much time had passed. To the outside world, hours had passed. Days. Soon weeks had gone by and one month had changed to another, but still, Lucedio knew nothing but cold darkness and fear of the beings out there. The last time Lucedio had escaped this hell, Hannah had used some ritual to pull him from the shadows. Perhaps he could draw on that, and be released. He felt a slight pinching, but he ignored it for the plan that had taken hold. The world, could it even be called a world, swirled around him, and it felt as if he was in a dark tunnel clawing his way out with weights around one of his ankles. With each 'move' the weight became harder and harder to bear, but he forged his way onward, telling himself that when he got out, he would kill that cunt for everything she did. On the surface, the shadows in a darkened alley shimmered as if they were water, and suddenly a hand jutted out from within. His fingers clawed themselves against cement, trying to keep himself from slipping back in, though the blood that came from doing so only made the cement slick. Another hand jutted out to claw at the cement before bright red hair poked out from the shadows. Lucedio leaned his head back, struggling to take a breath from the world, as his lungs screamed as if they had never held oxygen before. Soon Lucedio's torso was pulled from the 'tunnel' before being followed by both of his legs. Perks of being a copy, he supposed. Or just a boon from the limbo he escaped from. Either way, he wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. As soon as he thought this, he immediately regretted it, as he looked back, he saw the shadows solidify, before noticing a large mouth gripping his leg between its teeth. The creature let out a shocked screech, releasing his leg. He clambered away as quick as he can, his gaze taking the creature in cautiously. The creature was quite easily the most hideous thing he'd ever seen. It was green and bulbous, with very sharp teeth. It's face looked off-centered as if someone had beaten it in with a shovel repeatedly. The creature had two eyes, however in very different locations. One was at the top of the oblong shape, and one at the bottom. And despite the large shape of the creature, there were four short legs somehow keeping it up. It gave one warble of a growl, before bounding off, leaving Lucedio in quite the stupor.

|| Spending weeks training and brewing the Polyjuice potion was finally coming in handy, the night that it was ready. Chava's plan was to drink the potion, grab her wand and a few daggers, and make her way out into the night, disguised as Damien to keep watch for Lucedio, lest he come back, so she could properly distract the man for Damien's sake. Most of her intentions with this plan, however, were hidden from Damien, so as not to worry him and she could actually play it through. So long he was at home and training all would be fine. Adding the strand of his hair as the potion's final touch, she scoops up a glass and drinks, not but not before slipping the gem into her pocket, full of magic now, just in case. When all was finished, she made a point to kiss Damien's cheek, before heading out as she was, eyes wide and alert. And there she was, on the streets and in the alley where it happened, leaning almost casually against a wall. The potion, she knew, would only last for so long, and as soon as the hour was up she would take her leave, make her way back to Damien to continue the next day, watching and waiting for a Lucedio appearance that they knew was to be happening soon. Chava sighs and runs her fingers through her hair, now much shorter and black to match Damien, when she heard the noise, only twenty minutes before the potion would expire on her. With a furrowed brow, she follows the noise itself, before turning her head round a corner and seeing the source. Exactly what she was looking for. Did she greet Lucedio should he see her, stand her own against a fight, or run now and make her way back to tell Damien the news? A couple weeks training ran through her mind but all of it seemed rather pointless in the moment. Lucedio would see her. See her, as Damien, whom he knew so well. Would he truly fall for it? Who's to say she could play Damien at all?

[L]|| For several moments, he kept himself in the same position, wary in case the /thing/ came back. When there were no signs of such things happening, his eyes glanced around before instantly fuming. And here was an opportunity handed on a silver fucking platter. Sure, it wasn't the bitch, but it would sure as hell do. "Well, well, well." he sneered, pulling himself off of the ground to face his brother. His eyes took a quick glance-over, noticing the various scars all over his twin. He smirked slightly, before narrowing his eyes at the marks on the neck, which only served to anger him further as he was reminded of how close he was to killing Damien. "No one here to protect you now." He took a few steps towards her, his hand moving towards his back only to realize his wand wasn't there. "Fuck." he muttered under his breath. He would have to rely on wandless magic in this situation. Which of course, wasn't a problem for him. It was just the second wand he'd lost.

Chava had winced when Lucedio noticed her, but quickly moved to cover it up, stepping forward slightly to meet him. Her heart was pounding, with a little fear, and a large majority rage, for what this man had done the last time they had met. Damien still wasn't recovered, that much was evident in how even then Chava, disguised as him, could not use her right hand. Which she was already finding to be much more of a problem than she had originally perceived. "Lucedio," she mutters in response, words coming out in Damien's voice. She had to find a way to get out and fast, if she was going to go and warn Damien back home. Not to mention the potion was wearing out fast- she could start to change any minute now. "Forgot you had no wand, hm?" She can't help but taunt, a smirk tugging at her lips. She takes a small step backwards, before realizing the choice she had in front of her. Lucedio would want to kill Damien, whom he supposed was right in front of him, but Chava had to get away, or fight. Preferably get away before the potion wore off, she could've sworn she felt her hair growing already. The question was, how to fight? Dagger, or wand. She had Damien's wand on her, so that should help, but he was an expert with a blade. The problem there being, Chava was not. She would be pathetic. The wand seemed a better option, at least until she could get away. She slips the wand from her pocket, holding it out. She swallowed hard, entirely unsure what to say. There was no way this was going to last or work- she should've ran when she still had the chance, before he caught sight. "Not today," she muttered. God damn she was stupid, a terrible actor.

[L]|| A snarl escapes his lips at Damien's taunting. Did he take his wand? Or was it destroyed while moving to limbo? Or did he drop it before he stabbed Damien's neck. In any case, how dare he say anything of the sort. That squib wasn't worthy of handling his wand. "Damien." he sneered as he took some small steps towards the man. flicking his hand, he sent several knock-back jinxes were sent at the punk who thought he could beat him. "I don't need a wand to kill you. I'm not a pathetic squib, like you." Without waiting for another second, he sent a disarming spell, followed by two cruciatus curses.

Chava acted quickly, as quick as she could, without thinking too much about her actions. She acted so quickly with her wand, in fact, that it might've looked strange on Damien- but she figured she could try to pull it off as best she could. The second Lucedio's hand moved, Chava sent a shield charm from her wand, blocking each of his spells that he sent in succession, thankful that she had taken more steps back. She wasn't hurt, and that much was fine for now. If she returned to hurt she doubted Damien would continue letting her do this. Without waiting, she removed the shield charm, sending three jinxes at him in a row, stumbling back once more. "I said not today," she scowls. She had to get out, and fast, the potion only having mere minutes left. She couldn't apparate in front of him, with Damien's injuries showing, nor could she risk him grabbing on and going along for the ride. All she could do is back up farther, wand held high in hand.

|| A wave of his hand and a shield charm flooded off of his fingers. His eyes instantly narrowed at Damien's wand, surprise clearly shown on his face. "You seem to have gotten better with a wand." He would have been suspicious had the spells not been so incredibly simple to use. Keep casting. He chanted to himself, Let's see where that takes you. He casts several more spells, saying, "If not today, then when? I'm sure I have an open schedule." He sneered slightly, before casting another disarming spell. This would be settled today, and he wouldn't let Damien get away this time.

Chava grunts, having moved to try and swerve out of the way, when a spell hit her square in the chest, sending her flying backwards, sliding down back against a wall. "Shit, Shit," she mutters frantically, feeling slightly dizzy. She drags her knees up, before reaching for her wand once more. Trying to pull herself back up, she didn't notice the disarming spell that came shortly afterward, the wand flying from her hands far past her. She groans in annoyance, sliding back from the wall and inching away. She was already failing her duties, and failing badly. Knocked back and having lost her wand, she also now, with complete confidence, felt the Polyjuice potion start to deteriorate away. "No, fuck," she cries, curling her hands over her head as if that could hide her growing hair, lightening in color, her changing facial features, her obvious shrinking in height. She didn't even have a wand on her to perform proper magic, she couldn't get away unless she ran; her own wand was left at the manor to keep up appearances. Taking a deep breath, she grips her hair, forcing herself not to be afraid. If Lucedio killed her... well, that wasn't what she was afraid of, not at all. She was afraid of what her death would mean, if it so happened there. Lucedio would come for Damien, while he was still wounded, while he still didn't have use of his right hand. That was something Chava knew she had to prevent by any means necessary, and that meant she had to stay alive. Regaining control of her own right arm, she clenches her fingers, now completely turned back to Chava, not Damien. All she had left was a dagger, which she weakly held out in front of her face. She had to try.

|| At first Lucedio grinned as he disarmed Damien. He knew the man would have a dagger, but he was always satisfied when he'd one-upped the man. A brow raised as the man's features began to shift and changed. It took him no time at all to recognize that someone was under polyjuice, but he still had no idea who was using it. "Isn't this a surprise. Someone who's going to be killed instead of Damien." He paced back and forth his head trained on the person before him. He flicked his hand, casting another disarming spell, just in case the woman had anything else up her sleeve. "Did you enjoy your little game?" he asked, crouching where he stood, his gaze narrowing at the woman's changing features, "Because it's not a game any longer." His eyes narrowed further, before grinning widely. "Well, well. My day is certainly looking better." He stands up, no longer willing to toy around, before casting a cutting curse at the woman. "Does it feel good, standing in for your... friend? Boyfriend?" He tilted his head, pretending to be curious, before shaking his head. "No matter. You've already earned my eternal hatred." he waves his hand, casting a cruciatus curse, his grin twisting into a smirk. "I guarantee you won't be getting out of this alive."

Chava curls herself up against the wall, her head rising slightly to look at Lucedio directly. Despite her position, the fact that she was already weak and at a disadvantage, her eyes glare at him, her anger evident. She wasn't one to go down without a fight, and that's exactly what she would do. "Fuck you," she mutters, spitting at him, before she feels the effect of his next casted cutting curse hit its mark, holding her arm up over her face to strike there instead. She sucks in a breath, but that's the only thing that gives her away, still staring at him directly. "You're weak," she snarls, making an attempt to inch away, crawling backwards on the ground. "You couldn't kill him, and you /lost/ against me," she hisses. "I could win again." It was this she wasn't sure of, this she doubted. She knew Lucedio was powerful, and she was no where near matching him. But perhaps if she said it enough she could start to believe she could win. She opens her mouth to speak again, when the cruciatus curse comes, hitting her dead on, as vulnerable as she was. Her body flies back down against the ground, lying there, as she clamps a hand over her mouth to muffle a shriek of pain. It felt like flames engulfing her skin, and underneath an electrical current running through her veins, multiple shocks a second. She throws her head back against the hard stone floor, growling lowly, fingers gripping her hair, as if trying to escape the effects of the spell. "STOP," she cried, muffled under her hand, while she still could breathe. Stop now, she would be fine.

[L]| Lucedio barks out in laughter at her choice words. It was clear that she wasn't in any position to fight back. "You can say that all you wish, it won't change the situation." he dropped the spell to walk over towards Damien's dropped wand. While he could use it to make his casting easier, he would never cast using Damien's wand. He placed a hand on each end of the wand, before snapping it. This simple call made him laugh further, as he tossed the broken pieces to each side. "I wonder how my twin will react, hearing that you lost his wand?" he casts several cutting curses in quick succession, before cackling, "Not that it matters, you'll be dead long before he finds out."

Chava breathes out a sigh of relief when he stops the curse, curling into herself on the ground, knees to her chest. She takes a few moments to catch her breath, trying to think of something she could do to get out of this to warn Damien. With a slow, shaky hand, she pulls her upper body up, moving back towards the wall to try and stand. In the process, though, her eyes widen with horror as he grabs Damien's wand having figured out what he was going to do. "No," she warns, gripping the brick behind her and pulling herself into a standing position, though feeling very dizzy in the process. "No, no, you asshole!" she yells, positively livid, though a little too shaky to show it properly. Deep breaths. Fuck, Damien would be mad, his wand now broken in two pieces and tossed to the side like trash... and it was her fault. Really, this whole thing was her fault. Her planning, her foolish acting, her faulty wand work. She should've ran when she had the chance or been strong enough to fight him off. "You can't kill me," she mutters, though there was still some fire in her voice. Never go down without a fight. In the next moment though, Chava had fallen from her standing position and onto her knees, gasping in pain from several more cuts from Lucedio's wand. She brings a hand to her cheek, and blood comes away, her hand next clutching her gut. "Stop," she whispers, trying to make it sound more like a command than a beg.

| Lucedio took extreme pleasure at the woman's screaming. It only served to show he did the perfect thing at the right moment. "You can't win. Just give up." He waves his hand, "Alarte Ascendare." He flicked a finger immediately afterwards casting Avis Oppungo. "You're so resilient." He knew he had the upper hand, and he was using that to flaunt his victory despite the fact that the woman had beaten him once before. No, all of that lay in the past as far as he was concerned, and the only thing he was focused on was the torture of this pathetic cunt of a woman. He turns his hand palm up, casting a transfiguration spell, creating a stone wall before him. He pauses to give enough time for the woman to fall back to the ground, before flicking his finger casting a blasting curse at the wall, causing it to explode, the force sending the fragments mostly towards where Chava used to be.

Chava tries her best to stand again after he cut her, palms on the ground in an attempt to push herself up. She knew it would be easier to fight on her feet, that she was at a disadvantage when she was below him, but that was proved to not matter with his next spell, Chava rising much higher up than just her feet. She could barely focus, just realizing he had sent her up into the air with, of course, no magical way to get her back down. She would fall herself, the curse of gravity, and she curls into herself as she falls back down, hoping that if she was in a tight enough ball it wouldn't hurt as much, wouldn't have quite the effect he wanted. She lands, and quickly stifles a shriek of pain, as if already feeling the red hot bruises and cuts blossoming on her skin. Her eyes flashing, hands burning, she finds the strength to pull herself away from the rubble, rolling out and away from the damage, before again pulling herself to stand up. She staggers toward Lucedio and makes the grab at him, lunging forward, aiming to dig her fingernails into his skin. It wasn't much at all, but she would do what she could.

| Lucedio yawned boredly, as he waved his wand, casting a Stickfast Hex at the woman. As if he would actually let her reach him in her attack. He could laugh. In fact, he did laugh. Loudly. "What did you expect to happen? You to claw my eyes out and laugh over my wounded self?" He continues to bark out in laughter, before casting a Cunjunctivitus Curse at her. "Don't you ever learn?" he followed this with a Cruciatus Curse. What good was torture without a couple of those thrown in? "Everte Statum." He was certainly enjoying this. Why weren't all of his fights this pathetically easy. He cast an expulso at the ground behind the woman, where he'd expect her to land, causing a small explosion, all while cackling.

Chava was stopped from lunging at him, her feet sticking to the ground; the force however propelled her forward, landing on her hands and knees before him. She was determined not to end up on the floor again, but that seemed next to impossible. She tried to respond to his words, but his next curse left her crying out in pain, falling backwards to bring both her hands to her eyes, which were starting to tear up, cheeks burning red. She felt ridiculous, horrific, ashamed that she couldn't do anything else to help herself. She was supposed to be able to fight back, not be so utterly helpless and completely at his mercy. She realized she hated being out of control of herself, burning hot tears streaming down her cheeks, her head pounding. At this rate, if he kept going this way, she really started to doubt she would make it out of this alive. And for the first time, she wanted to be alive, simply to be alive. For the first time, she really didn't want to die. The next few spells, most noticeably crucio, finally released an ear piercing scream from her lips, her body flying backwards, her skin feeling almost like it was in the process of being burnt off. She falls back onto the floor, lying limp, though with her breathing still very heavy. "Please don't kill me," she mumbles, surprised to hear the words herself.

|| Flicking his hand, he cast "Flippendo." In an attempt to send the woman flying back through the air. Jutting out his hands, he silently cast an incendio spell, flames jutting out from his hands, keeping one hand casting the spell, he waves his other hand, casting a Jelly-Legs Jinx. The spell was nothing but a distraction, as he casts his next spell, "Reducto." It was another explosion spell, to be sure, but it didn't have the added effect of flame. He cast the spell at the ground near the woman, a smug grin taking over his features. "This has been quite a /blast/, but it's time to end this. I'm getting bored." He flicked his hand again and again, casting cutting curse after cutting curse. It worked against Damien, and he hoped it would have the desired effect on Chava.

Chava heaves for a breath, as her lungs were tightening and breathing becoming shallow, searching her mind for anything, anything at all that would help her. Perhaps she still had a blade on her that she could use? Try to throw at him before he got closer. She started searching herself, drawing blood onto her hands. There was a large bump on the back of her head, and her skin felt burnt, shoving her hands down to her pockets before she felt it. The gem. The gem... that was a direct line of communication to Damien. Direct. She gives a gasp at this, thankfully sounding more like one of pain, before gripping the gem tightly in her palm, shoved deep in her pocket. Lucedio's final attack came then, something very similar to what he had done to Damien. She cries out in pain, starting her message frantically. What could she say? She figured she was going to die here, she was starting to accept the fact that she was going to die here, at Lucedio's hand, for Damien to find her later open eyed and unresponsive. Her mind darted between 'Knockturn' to tell him the location, before she also decided on 'I'm sorry.' Sorry for losing his wand, sorry for not being able to avoid Lucedio, sorry for the body binds, and mostly sorry for the fact that she would die, unable to live to help Damien in his fight against Lucedio. At least she had tried her best, and she figured that's what mattered. But... no. She could have tried harder. She didn't try her best. She considered it her own fault. She focused hard on those three words, hoping that would be enough for Damien to know, to prepare himself. Her mind stopped focusing when the next cut swept across her face, leaving searing white hot pain in front of her eyes, swimming in and out of consciousness. Her eyes roll backwards in her head before returning, almost certain this was it for her.

|| Very much akin to what Damien had said a month ago, Lucedio was thinking on how easy it was to harm Chava. It felt as if she wasn't even trying to put up a fight. But, her loss was his win. He paced the ground before her, choosing this time to speak instead of acting. "And this is exactly why Damien doesn't stand a chance. If the people he surrounds himself with are this pathetic. As soon as you die, I will hunt him down." he walks over towards Chava, leaning over her, so that his face hovered over hers. "And everything you have worked for will be futile, as I /WILL kill him." He holds his hand out, pointing down at her. "I would ask for your last words, but I doubt you could very much speak right now. Avada-"

|| The entirety of the day, Damien spent in his basement, reforging his dagger. Originally he was going to melt down the duplicate and use that, but he wasn't sure if it would break the connection or not, so he used one of his old daggers. There were plenty of them lying around the house. The process was strenuous enough that when he lay down to sleep he passed out instantly. Now he felt a faint buzzing at his hip jostling him awake. At first he brushed it off, but with only a second's thought he sat upright. The only thing that could be buzzing was the dagger as a message was etched out into it. Sure enough, as he pulled out the blade, there was a message. 'Knockturn. I'm sorry.' "Sorry for what?" he muttered to himself. He couldn't think of anything that she'd need to be sorry for, unless something happened while she was... Instantly he snapped out of bed, and was throwing his robes, as well as all his weapons. He couldn't apparate as it would take untold amounts of energy. Energy that he would need to save if his guess was right. His guess could be wrong, but he had to go, on the off chance he was right. He could never forgive himself if Chava was killed while pretending to be him. He bolted down the stairs, fastening his robe together as he ran, before shooting out of the main door, running as if the devil itself were after him. Luckily he lived on Knocturn, it was just a matter of finding the right location, but he had one location he was willing to bet. Arriving at the scene, his eyes fell at Chava battered and beaten on the ground, with Lucedio standing over her. Anger welled up inside of him as he rushed forward, driving his dagger through Lucedio's hand before he could fully cast the killing curse He snarls at Lucedio as he begins to speak, word by word, "YOU'RE. NOT. KILLING. /HER/." Despite being paralyzed his right arm was twitching slightly, but he didn't notice this as he moved his leg kicking his knees with as much force as he could muster. With Lucedio distracted, he clamors through his pockets before pulling out a potion and pouring it into Chava's mouth, all while keeping one of his eyes trained on Lucedio.

Chava had been completely ready for the killing curse, watching Lucedio about to cast it with open eyes, hardly aware of anything anymore. Her breathing had been so shallow, her entire body burning so much so that most of all she was capable of seeing or being aware of were faint noises in the background, strange blurs of color, waiting to be shocked out of life with a simple spell. She kept waiting though, and nothing happened. Chava hadn't realized anything had happened at all until she heard the yell of a familiar voice. Perhaps she was dead, but the pain was all too real to believe as much. But had she heard right? Had Damien actually made it? She hadn't realized he would, she hadn't expected it. She didn't see him until his face was hovering over hers, even then blurry and a strange flash of color. The next thing she knew he was pouring something, a potion, into her mouth, and only moments later did a very small fraction of the pain begin to decrease. She looks up at him, tears streaming down her face. She was hardly there enough to care. "Damien..." she whispers, unsure if she was even audible. "I'm sorry."

[L]|| A scream of pain. His own, not hers. His kick slammed into his knee, and soon his earlier pain was nothing compared to this new one. Even the pain of losing a leg was simpler compared to He looked down at his leg, to see that it had broken. And not only had it broken, one of the bones in his lower leg was now jutting out of his flesh. "I'LL KILL YOU AND THAT BITCH!" he screamed out at the man. He couldn't do anything at this point, so he used this opportunity to hobble off, before Damien could do anything worse.

[D]|| Taking a quick glance he threw a knife at the hobbling form of Lucedio, taking great pleasure in watching it drive into the man's back. It didn't stop Lucedio from leaving but it felt good. "THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HARM MY GIRLFIEND*!" Taking a quick breath to calm his nerves, he looked down at his twitching arm in shock, before an idea hit him. If he was able to move the muscles in such a manner, could he lock his arm in a certain position? In a test, he moved his right arm so it was perpendicular to him, before trying to tense his arm. It took a couple of tries, but he managed to get it right, locking his arm in position. Bending down awkwardly, he managed to inch Chava into his arms so he could carry her off. She was in no real shape to walk, and needed to be healed. He bent his head down planting a kiss on her lips, not even caring that she was covered in blood, before walking off towards his house. He had plenty of potions at home that could help.

*Originally was meant to say Girlfriend, and would have been edited out, had it not been such a perfect fit for Chava.
