[Fallen 3/4]Mistakes Well Learned
|| Perhaps a week after the meeting with Aveline, Chava was not much better. In one sense, she was, in that she could admit she made a mistake. A huge mistake. No matter what she said or did, the pang in her chest never really went away, and it couldn't have been anger anymore. This kind of pain didn't lead to violent outbreaks and screaming, but rather depressive episodes where she spent everyday, every waking moment, sitting cross legged on the floor in the front of the fire, staring into it absentmindedly. She ate very little, and only took care of herself when her daughter insisted upon it. This wasn't anger, this was heartbreak. And though she didn't want to admit this to Aveline, she did miss Damien. She did love him, and she shouldn't have left him. She couldn't even imagine how Damien must have felt, as she spent everyday beating herself up over her choice, emotionally and physically. The bad part was, she didn't think there was anyway to fix what she had done. This wasn't the kind of mistake a simple apology and a kiss couldn't fix; she wouldn't be surprised if Damien would walk away at the sight of her, if he now blamed her for everything... Which he should. It was all /her/ fault, she did no good to anyone... Not even the man she loved. Before she even knew what she was doing, she drags herself from her spot in front of the fire, without grabbing her back, and apparates immediately out of the house without telling Aveline a thing. But not to the Dagger Manor, no... She could never go back there. But something similar would do, as she had a sudden task on hand, some plan long ago she had never quite finished up... She lands right in front of the Thorne Manor, and immediately pounds on the door before anyone could see her. She had to talk to Aeron.
|| It wasn't as if he was doing anything when he heard the pounding on his door. For a moment he feared it was the Ministry, some officials knocking on his door because Damien did not keep his word, and had indeed decided to frame Aeron. His hearted pounded before he composed himself. He'd have to add to the words so Damien nor his girlfriend could easily slipe inside of his home. Well... It should be his home. Soon. Hopefully. He was still waiting for Damien to keep up his part of the bargain. Aeron stands, running a hand through his kept red hair, running a hand down his torso to rub out any wrinkles. If he was being investigated, he would look presentable and innocent. The more unkempt someone looked, the more it was likely that they were being mentally plagued by a situation. However, outside the door is Chava, which causes the male to tilt his head. Why would she be here? She hated his parents, whom were dead. Which Aeron also suspects Damien had something to do with. Which only makes sense, as the will was all about him, and he acted as if he was hiding something, almost smug. But, hating his parents makes him assume she'd dislike the house. Yet she was alone. And looking rather haggard herself. "Chava?" Aeron voices, turning his body and motioning into the house before looking around outside. Why was she alone? Although he probably shouldn't let her inside, his charm wouldn't allow him to let her stand outside. "Can I help you with something?" ||
|| There were a million things she wanted to say, but first Chava had to get out of the public eye. Curling her arms around herself and making her way into the house, she presses her form against the wall to keep herself smaller and hidden. She'd hoped Aeron would understand, as he was there the night she was broken out. What to say first? Did she bring up Damien, or even Lucedio? She could spill so many truths to the man right then and there... But she had to do this the right way. "I know you've had contact with Lucedio," she states bluntly as a way of welcome, before turning her wrists over and holding them out to Aeron as if in surrender. "You can bring me to him, so he can kill me, if that'll satisfy him," she murmurs, strong on her stance. Now, she wasn't quite sure this would do anything at all. Aeron may not even know exactly where Lucedio was, but it was worth a shot. She supposed getting herself out of the way permanently would make things much easier in the long run, and then the pain in her heart and all the guilt would go away too. "Or you could even do the job yourself, you know, if you want to, no one will stop you. You might want to." The woman swallows hard, cornering herself and still holding her wrists out. The words were all spilling out of her mouth before she knew what she was saying. But Chava didn't have to hold back anymore, there was nothing left to care about, and she certainly didn't care about herself. Secrets didn't matter anymore, right? "I killed both your parents," she says with finality, wincing and closing her eyes. That was bound to make Aeron angry enough.
Aeron watches the woman with cautious, curious eyes. She was acting odd, but considering it had only been a few weeks from her escape, and knowing the rumors of the conditions of Azkaban, the male decided that it wasn't completely unusual for the woman to want to curl into herself and seem as if she could poof from existence. Aeron moves after shutting the door, making his way to take a seat. But stops when she speaks about her dying. He spins on his heels, staring at the woman. His eyes glancing at her outstretched arms. Was she truly insane? Did that prison break her? "Kill you?" He repeats, crossing his arms. Even if he knew where Lucedio was, he would not give Chava up, not to her death. His eyes look around the house. Surely Damien was here, hiding out. They were planning. Plotting. "Why would I want to kill you?" He asks, almost laughing. He steps up to the woman, placing his hands around her wrist. "Why are you here? Where's-" He was cut off with her admission. He steps back. Confused. Horrified. Chava killed his parents? Both of them? Is that... could that be why Damien knew where the heads were? Because he was in possession of them? Aeron steps closer to the woman again, his wand sliding from his sleeve and pressed against her side. "You're lying " He growls, his eyes flashing dangerously. Chava Roku was a dangerous woman, but she could not kill his parents... could she? His teeth grind, contemplating her words. But if he killed her, right here, Damien would surely come after him and kill him in turn. Aeron did not yet wish to die. He presses his wand tip deeper into her side. "Why the hell would you admit that?" ||
|| She was expecting his anger, and didn't even flinch when it came about, the wand to her side not fazing her in the slightest. This was what she wanted, didn't she? She wanted to give Aeron a reason to be angry, to want to kill her. But was he angry enough to do just that? Perhaps he thought... "Damien isn't around," she says quickly, making a point of that. She falters, biting down on her lip hard. Just that one sentence turned her into even more of a wreck. "I left Damien," she whispers, curling further into the wall. "He... he won't come after you." The woman had a hard time admitting this, having absolutely no clue what Damien was up to at all lately. It was something she didn't like to think about. "You hate me yet?" she questions, genuinely curious. What more did she have to say? "I don't care what you do to me, Aeron. I have nothing left to live for. I can't take back all I've done. So, go ahead. Kill me like you want to." Chava sneers slightly, fingertips brushing along the man's hand where he held his wand. "Hurt me," she hisses. "You'll be doing me a grand favor."
|| All he invisioned was a dark red, bubbling up inside of him the more Chava talked. Hearing Damien wasn't here, that she /left/ his brother was like a huge relief. But in a twisted way. Once, that would have meant he could flirt all he wanted. She was a beautiful woman after all. But now? All he wanted to do was grant her wish. To cause her pain. No, he didn't love his parents. He hardly even liked them. But he still had a sliver of care. They were still his blood. His family. Aeron wasn't like the other Thornes. They seemed to hate one another. But he always had a sense of familial duty. "Hate?!" His voice came out weak, but it was raggedy weak. Almost a growl. He feels the slightest touch of her hand, flexing his own. A wordless spell jolts through his wand and courses through her body. The Cruciatus Curse. "Hurt you?" He snarls, glaring at the woman. For the first time in so long, Aeron was pissed. "Oh, I'll hurt you. Although I may wish to kill you, giving you to my /dear/ brother or doing it myself is too easy. No. You killed my parents. They suffered. So you will suffer too." Aeron sends another curse towards the woman, clenching his fist so hard his nails dig into his skin. Oh yes, he wanted to kill her. But... "Killing you would be what you want. No. You will feel pain. Physical as well as mental. And you will suffer. Hell, if you go insane you /deserve it!/" Another. He wanted her to scream. To squirm. To feel immense pain. "Your grand favour from me? Live with your pain. Lucedio will not kill you. And neither will I." ||
|| Despite doing all she could to make Aeron upset, murderous, a little part of Chava didn't fully believe he would really hurt her. He was a charming, charismatic man, and she never much saw the darkness underneath all of that. And that's what was so unexpected when it came, the first curse shocking her against her skin, before a strangled gasp escapes her lips, clamping her hand over her mouth. The man had caved, and it /hurt/. The next oncoming curse sends Chava to her knees, collapsing down from the wall to the floor, as she tried to keep the tears from spilling out of her eyes. She had asked for the pain, and he had received, but... "I know you want to kill me," she mutters when she has a spare breath, pulling her hair out of her face. She could handle this so far; he had done nothing too bad. Anything was tame in comparison to Azkaban, and the pain of losing one you loved at that. "Lucedio would kill me. You know full well if you called Lucedio here now he would kill me and end this for me here and now." She pulls her head back up, fingers gripping at the wall to pull herself back up, looking Aeron dead in the eyes. "Perhaps you're just weak. Maybe you're like your parents. Scared of me."
|| "You're right " He nods, another growl gurgling from his throat. "I do want to kill you." It was a struggle to keep his lips from mouthing the killing curse. He was reminding himself of Azkaban. How she had seemed so... lifeless. Until Damien touched her. How she felt betrayed. How long ago she left Damien, he didn't know. But she had only been out for a few weeks. The rest of the world thought her dead. She should be happy. Thinking this almost calmed the man down. She was delusional. Whatever she was saying, it wasn't Chava. He didn't know her as well as he may have hoped, but Aeron believed Chava would never wish to die as long as Damien was alive. So what did his brother do to make this woman want to end her life? He almost asked as much, but she was speaking again. Mentioning Lucedio was nothing. He wouldn't call for the man even if he could. "I'm not bringing you to Lucedio, Chava." Aeron sighs, struggling to --
<RAV> Firstyearboy AeronThorne -- release his grip on his wand. Until she called him weak. Muggle methods were always a last resort for him, and he'd never wish to hit a woman in the way he did. But morals were shit when the woman in front of you killed your parents and was asking for death. Death would be she wouldn't have to pay for her misdeeds. That was a gift. Not a punishment. The hand that held his wand moved on it's own accord, aiming dead center of Chava's face. He wanted her head to bounce. He wanted her to bleed. Hell, he was even tempted to pluck the blade from under his shirt and let this woman taste it. Quite literally. He wondered if she ever felt what the tip of a sharp blade felt like when it pierced the back of one's throat. How the metal tasted. How one would have to drink their blood just to breathe. But he didn't trust himself to be so calculated. He may just push too hard and kill her. "CLEARLY, my parents were weak! Selfish @%$!#@%$. But I? I'm the Thorne that masks the others. You think Lucedio or your pathetic ex boyfriend were scary?!" Aeron nears himself to Chava's face, his own twisted in a crude scowl. His free hand, palm leaking with his own blood, make to wrap strickly around the woman's neck. He gave no warning, but would squeeze. "The only reason I haven't killed you is because you want it. You are WEAK , Chava Roku! Only the weak accept their fate, accept insanity and pleade for death to end their misery. The weak sit by and let others prey on them, like Lucedio and Damien have done with you. You sit by and let them drain you. You let me /hurt/ you." Aeron squeezes, wanting her to get to the point air is a foreign memory to her brain. Her lungs. He wanted her to think she would die. And the moment he saw that hopeful look in her eyes is the moment he let go before sending yet another Crutiatus curse into her body, the tip of hid wand having kissed her temple. ||
|| At first, Chava almost thought Aeron was going to go back to being soft, when he sighed, having said he wouldn't bring her to Lucedio. In fact, she convinced was she in this that she stands up and even takes a step closer to Aeron, as she taunts him for his weakness. The hit was unexpected, and the woman squeals, bouncing backwards, her back hitting the wall once more. Her hands fly to her nose, it feeling broken, blood on her fingers. She wanted to take this moment to breathe, but breathing was the exact opposite of what she got as the man's fingers curl around her throat, cutting off her air supply slowly. A gasp before he does, and she's choking, clawing at his hands to try and get a breath in. And it doesn't end, it doesn't stop... Aeron just squeezed harder, to the point where she could barely hear his words at all, in one ear and out the other. Was this it? Was the man really caving now? No, no, of course he didn't. Just as she saw the black spots in her vision, and she aims a kick at the man's abdomen, he releases his grip, and the woman falls immediately to the floor, unable to support herself on her own feet. Her throat raw, she coughs and gasps, rubbing her neck and her shoulders. When enough air came to speak, she didn't fail to take the opportunity. "I'm not scared of you," she whispers, her voice hoarse and raw. But was that the truth? There was a moment there, when she thought she would die, that she kicked out to fight against him. It was human instinct, yes, but even then she was slowly backing away from him. She opens her mouth to say something else, but before she could fully recover from the last, his wand was at her temple, the spell like electricity coursing through her, lighting every nerve on fire. And this time, Chava couldn't help the earth shattering scream that escapes her open lips, ongoing in that she couldn't shut herself up at all. If she wasn't screaming, she was choking, gasping, or pleading unintelligible words. Whether she was begging for life or death, it was almost impossible to tell. Her body collapses onto the floor and her back arches, slamming at the floor underneath her. It was all she could do to tell herself she deserved this kind of pain, the guilt that flooded through her just as bad as the Unforgivable. It truly was the worst spell, and she could already feel her mind deteriorating before her. She deserved this, yet why was she longing so badly for the pain to end, to be safely back at home, to even be in Damien's arms instead of this?
|| Aeron had never felt this way before. He had never hurt someone to such a degree to feel high of seeing the other in pain. He say the blood on her hand, watched as the woman gasped for air. Watched as she flopped against the ground, seeming to wish it to be over. He heard her scream. And at first, it was music to his ears. But the more she screamed, the more she carried on, the more aggravated he became. It was loud, and no longer did he like the sound. It caused a piercing headache, this caused him to grip his wand hard. He was struggling horribly not to send her a cutting curse. Or to create little cuts upon her body, make her bleed more. But he had to think. The more blood he let her lose, the quicker it was for her to die. She could have been desperate and could dig a whole bigger and bigger. She could cause herself to bleed out. Although the best part of him did not believe that. He meant that she was weak, but it was more towards meaning her heart. Her heart was weak. Her mind was weak, but still accessible. Still useful. Her body was a vessel to which she could feel this pain he caused. Speaking of... "Shut the FUCK up!" The male yells, kneeling down onto the floor, gripping her neck again. But he does not choke her again. No, he places his hand there as a base. His knee finds itself on her stomach. This he digs in. He adds pressure to her abdomen, his wand tip pressed to her check. Last minute, he slips his wand back onto his sleeve. Then, without warning, Aeron punches Chava in the face, three more times. He wanted her to bleed more. "You aren't scared of me?" He questions into her ear, unbelieving. He sees the way the woman looks at him now; weary, unsure. He smiles, and some how it is so charming it is hard to believe he had a woman pinned under himself, having punched her thrice. But oh... "Your kick has pathetic, and it only pissed me off even more." He envisions what would happen should he punch her neck, how hard he could do it and how heavily he would press. But, again, he couldn't trust himself not to hit her neck too hard and accidentally kill the woman. He growls and stands up, kicking Chava in the ribs. Aeron does this enough times on top of her body and the right side, aiming to break her body, just as her mind was broken. Within time, the male kicks her once more before he spins away, breathing heavily. His one hand clasps his side, then lets go. No knife, no weapon. Bringing those out defeat the purspose of not killing her. Aeron needed Chava to suffer. She had to suffer. His parents were gon. "Do you even regret it?" He hisses to her, asking if she regretted killing his parents. Later, Aeron knew he would be beating himself up for doing such a thing to Chava. He had never lost control like this before, and he had never wanted to lose control and harm like his parents. He was not them! Now, the male could feel darkness clouding his judgment. He had to be alone. Aeron flicks out his wand again, flicking one more Crutiatus curse at her. As he does this, he mutters a spell so she was bound. He wanted her in pain but did not want to be kicked in the mean time. "You will leave my house." The male grips her confined legs and pulls them towards the front door. He could have easily levitated her, but whats the fun in that? "You will fight your way out of your binds. You will stop looking for ways to die. Because you demand to suffer. You deserve to suffer. Do not come back unless it is dire. Lucedio will not be found unless he wishes to be. He does not want your pathetic $!# to bother him." Aeron swishes the front door open and pulls Chava a good amount from his house, running her back over the pavement. He was scowling. He drops the woman, but loosens the bonds. For a second, he shifts and gazes at Chava almost sadly. He opened his mouth to apologize before shaking his head. No. Aeron Thorne will not apologize, this moment, he felt no such remorse/guilt. "Goodbye, Chava Roku. Next time you beg me to die, make sure you are strong enough for a simple 'no.' But, you should now know better than anyone that when a Thorne says no to one thing, you will regret the second option." With those last words, Aeron Thorne turns on the spot and ventures back into his home, sealing it shut from any visitors. He would deeply regret letting his brashness rule him in the future. That was a side of him he never knew he owned. But perhaps... that was what being a Thorne was. They were all violent in nature. ||
|| It wasn't far off to say this experience snapped something together in Chava's brain, something that wasn't there before. No, this was more than just your average taunt and torture, this was something that would stick in Chava's brain until the end of her days. As much as she found herself despising Aeron for this, in a way she had to thank him, for Chava knew this was something she would never let happen to her again, and something she swore revenge on. Once the binds were ripped away from her and Aeron gone, Chava ended up practically crawling all the way back home, closing the door behind her and collapsing in front of it. The physical pain was the easiest thing to handle, once she had her wand on her she could fix most of the damage done. The worst part was the humiliation of it all, and how low Chava had come in almost two years. While once she could be considered a strong woman, who beat Lucedio away single handedly, now she could barely hold her own, begging for death from her ex lover's baby brother. What new kind of level of pathetic was that? Coming so close to death only reminded Chava that despite all she had said and done, she did not want to die. She was willing to die for one cause and one cause only... But Damien was not there, and she didn't need to die for a man who wasn't even by her side. That was the other thing that hurt more than anything else. Damien. It was safe to say there was no more anger, besides that directed towards Aeron. No, she missed Damien, and she couldn't believe she had let him go so easily after everything he had done for her. Guilt plagues her... and the only way she knew how to get these feelings out was by planning revenge, on Aeron. The way he told her what she would or would not do made her burn with rage, and she knew revenge on the man would be at the forefront of her mind... After Damien of course. She couldn't forget Damien. Heaving a sigh, Chava ends up collapsing into sobs that rack her body inside her home, her throat and ribs burning with every produced tear. She knew then that nothing could stop her, and she would stop at nothing to bring that bit of happiness back into her life. Forgiveness... and she only hoped now he could come to forgive her for hurting him as she did. Yes, she had to go back to Damien, and as soon as possible. Time was of the essence, and nothing could stop her. Holding her head in her hands, she whispers very gently, "Damien, I need you. I love you."
|| It wasn't as if he was doing anything when he heard the pounding on his door. For a moment he feared it was the Ministry, some officials knocking on his door because Damien did not keep his word, and had indeed decided to frame Aeron. ||
