[Suffering 2/2]Misery

|| For the first time in a long time, Damien woke up with the feeling that something was wrong. The light shimmered through the window nearly blinding him. Sitting up in his bed, he looked around, trying to figure out this feeling of something not being the way it was supposed to be. It took him a few seconds to remember what had happened the prior night, and to realize that Chava should have been next to him, but wasn't. "Chava?" He called out, the naive hope that she would still be around swelling up. He threw the blankets away from him, jumping up quickly. He was still wearing his robes from yesterday, so he didn't bother getting dressed, or changing. Without even looking around the bedroom, he rushed out to search the rest of the house. No matter what his hopes or where he searched, the results were always the same. Living Room, Kitchen, Basement, The 7 other bedrooms. Most were messy, yet empty. After searching the house, he journeyed down to the basement, an empty, sadistic, and utterly destroyed look in his eyes. He moved up to the first victim of four in the back room, slamming his hand against the young man's throat. His other hand flicked up the dagger from his side. Without even a moments notice or hesitation, he drove the blade into the victim's gut, before drawing it back. He flipped the blade around, before driving it into the young man's chest over and over. His favorite, usually calculated, activity was now a statement of pure raw emotion. Every single time he had gotten into a relationship with someone he truly loved, they always seemed to leave him. "WHY?!" With the victim's outburst, he quickly sliced the blade across the young man's cheek. It was all he could do to not start laughing and crying maniacally. "I'm asking that question right now." He flicked the blade again, this time across teen's neck. Then he turned and repeated the process again and again, until every single person in his dungeon was a dead, bloody mess. For the first time, he would not be eating the hearts. In fact none of today's victims would be used for food It just didn't feel right to begin that process. "AAAGH!!" He screamed out driving his dagger into his final victim's head, before punching the already dead man's face, which didn't make him feel even a little bit better. He walked out of basement, each moment a struggle to breath, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. He wasn't sure what to do with the rest of his day. He wasn't up to going to the ministry, and the only thing he felt like doing was lying in bed and trying to forget that Chava had left him. He made his way towards the stairs up towards the stairs, leaning against the railing as he climbed. Why did every shitty thing happen to him. Hadn't he suffered enough? Perhaps his parents were right. Maybe he was better off dead, it would be so much better than the misery of his own life. Shouldering open the door, he walked into the Master Bedroom, and over towards the bed. He was about to lay down, when something glinted in the corner of his eye. His sight instantly narrowed on it, before wishing he had never seen it. There on the nightstand were two rings, Lucedio's wand, and the gem he had given to Chava long ago. Any resolve he had crumbled at this very sight, and tears instantly began rolling down his cheek. She had truly left him, then. His hands scooped up the rings, before tossing them to the side, as he didn't particularly care about them. He then picked up the gem, the one that he had entrusted to Chava, before walking over to the window. Perhaps it was the sadness, the devastation, or perhaps it was anger boiling under the surface, but he pulled open the window, before throwing the ring as far out of it as he could. He could hear a faint clattering as the gem hit the ground, and a strange oblong shape pass by near it, but paid no attention to it. He couldn't stay in this house any longer. He climbed through the window, while gripping onto the outside to stay up on the second floor, rather than fall to the ground. He reached up for a handhold, before climbing slowly, but steadily up the side of the manor, and onto the roof. There was another, taller building to the right, and shorter buildings to his left. He moved to the left, before running across his roof, and jumping onto the building to the right. He hadn't done anything quite like this in years, but it was something remembered how to do. Once again, he started climbing up onto this taller building, before standing at the edge of this building. There was a whooshing sound behind him, and a voice called out from behind him. "I was wondering when you'd leave." he could almost feel the sneer, before he felt a hand gripping at his shoulder, and suddenly he felt a cold sensation as he disappeared from this rooftop into an unknown location.
